It's definitely a win for the Bruins. They get the much needed help at C and give up nothing off their roster.
I'm not advocating for the Sens to trade Pinto, but no one is taking Joseph off our hands and the only other trade options are Brännström and Kubalik for opening up the cap space needed to get Pinto signed, and I doubt they trade Kubalik as he's the only roster player they got back in the DeBrincat trade.
GMPD would trade all 3 before trading away Pinto. Losing Pinto is much worse for our depth than losing any/all of those 3.
Greig played 20games in the NHL before they saw he hit a wall. Are you confident he will be able to play all 82 (plus playoffs, hopefully)? Cause you gotta be confident, since Dorion and DJ's jobs likely depend on playoffs. Not to mention Greig plays a physical game, which makes him prone to injuries.
No one has been traded because they haven't agreed on a contract yet. Why trade someone if you don't know how much room you'll need?
Not to mention, at this point, might as well wait to see if injuries happen to other teams, making them a bit desperate.
I would be beyond shocked if Pinto wasn't on this roster at the start of the season and his contract demands were sub 6M or so
