Woodcroft fired apparently

Woodcraft fired for not losing last night.

If the Avs had panic-fired Jared Bednar during our worst season ever; we would never have Cup #3 and one of the best teams of the past half-decade and counting.

I don't know where Woodcroft ranks in the coaching lists or where he will rank; but maybe this just wasn't the right fit for him with a group of players that just don't seem to be on the same page and not all committed to doing what it takes to play truly elite level two-way hockey.

Kinda dumb to wait til after a win to fire Woodcroft.

That guy (woodcroft) came across so odd to me but I always liked him. I hope he gets another gig, but maybe he’s more effective on the team management side and not coaching. Idk, never worked with him. I could see him as an agm from what we’ve seen.

I feel bad for Woodcroft. He's the scape goat for Holland not doing anything to address the teams biggest needs, McDavid being injured, and two goalies being down right horrible. No doubt he'll be back in the league in some capacity. Come home to Toronto, Jay!
