Ok, folks were pointing out my earlier trade was confusing because Nylander would be UFA in the summer.
So hypothetically, lets say Tor and Van decide to not extend these guys this season. Thus they decide on in-season trade.

Canucks aren’t trading Pettersson for two wingers, especially one that’s a pending UFA asking for 10 million

If Nylander isn't signed why on earth would Vancouver do this. If he is signed, I wouldn't do this. I very much like Petterson but I don't think he's more than what Nylander and Knies will bring the team over their careers. Knies is an impact forward and since TO has Matthews other teams will offer something this big sooner than TO would.
