Kreider won't waive and that's too much for Petey

Honestly, I don't hate this trade, even though its 99% unlikely to involve Kreider. If Petey becomes available, it's a high bidding war, without a doubt a top ten center in the league and can be argued in the top five if he reciprocates what he did last year.

Agreed if you take out Kreider it’s way more realistic. Rangers are probably one of the only playoff teams that could put in a legit offer for EP. This is probably close to what it would look like.

Probably swap Kreider with chytil since they’ll have too many Centers

Either way I wouldn’t do it because you kill the entire teams depth for 1 player

This is probably what a Petey trade looks like (without Kreider) to be honest. Maybe they get one blue chip prospect in a potential offer but the more valuable offers overall will be a combination of good young roster players and picks.
