I mean I'd much rather have garland than petry but I just don't see how it fits the roster unless Fabbri is worse than they're letting on and that could be possible.

Petrys got some pretty heavy trade protection and his family lives in Detroit. Rumours have it he doesn't want to be far from there.

Seems like CFACGM is suffering some Petry trades withdrawal. It's a 12 step process. 2 games into the season. Is anyone really surprised? Can Detroit trade Petry to Detroit?

Detroit isn't trading Petry, And there's zero chance he'd either waive for Vancouver or any Canadian team for that matter.

We've all underestimated the universal power of Jeff Petry trade rumors on CFACGM. It's beyond what we humans can possibly understand. They seem to take a life of their own.

Like take the show "Stranger Things." Except it's the "Petry-gorgon" where CFACGM is turned upside down. Nothing makes any sense.

Perhaps there will be a day where GM's can trade players to themselves. But until this Day comes we'll have Jeff Petry trades.

if petry is getting scratched 2 games in, and you reason it's performance based, why would you want him on your first pairing? especially when you have the same goal as the red wings (make the playoffs)?

also ethan bear isn't going to get 3 million if he's signing a week into the regular season, and i don't know why he's on litr. just paying a guy to do nothing.

He willingly went to Montreal. I'd bet he would play for them again, or the leafs. Maybe even the Sens, all of them are close enough to Detroit.

He already said that he kept Montreal open, because he never thought in a million years that he'd be dealt back there. But the rest of the Canadian team are definitely on his no trade list.
