Bro what on earth is this? You want the Isles to give up a top 3 goalie and a solid defenseman for the worst contract in the league and a decent defenseman?

This is confusing me. NYI isn't getting a dman.

Staight up Nuge for Sorokin sounds more likely. Leave Campbell and Pulock out of it.

I could also see Nuge to Boston for Swayman or Ullmark.

You could not get one of those Isles players for that offer, let alone both.

Now you are taking it to another extreme - RNH would land you Pulock. I get he is good, but its not like he is the second coming of Bobby Orr here.

That being said the offer is terrible and the Islanders would hang up as the only reason they win any games is because of their goalie.

I'm not being extreme at all. Can you honestly say the Isles would trade their locked down 1RD for RNH? I cannot for one second imagine that they would do that.

Take the 2 teams out of the equations for a one second...... you don't think for there would be any chance a team would trade Pulock for RNH? I am purely looking at the player for player. If you said the Islanders have zero interest in a centre so this trade makes little sense for them....sure. But player for player, you can find another Pulock,

I mean Pulock ranked 75th in PTS for a D man last year and Pelech actually was a better shut down D man than he was last year. This by no means insinuates he is bad, but the reality right now is you can find more shut down D men than you can forwards who put up 65 to 100 pts every season barring injury.

Well, setting aside that I certainly don;t agree there are more strong defensive D-men than high scoring forwards, why would or should I remove the teams from it? I didn't argue value, I argued that the Isles ain't doing that swap. If it was different teams, I might have a different answer.

My bad the comments of just saying you couldn't get any of those players from the Isles, let alone one, looked to be interpreted as that the player were not sufficient enough - not that the players didn't match needs. Thanks for adding the clarity to the original comments for more context.
