Why would MTL trade Harris? and why would LA or CBJ do these? Value is way off

Harris is the odd man out as early as next year, why wouldn't we consider moving him?

LA doesn't make sense sure but it's been widely reported that CBJ is looking to move a RD. Value isn't "way off". Durzi went for a 2nd, it's a realistic starting point if nothing else.

I highly doubt CHI is interested in giving up anything for Harris, let alone their own EARLY 2nd round pick. Not sure how that would help Bedard, either.

It's not an awful deal for Columbus. Obviously they'd take a better pick if someone else is offering it, but most importantly this trade alleviates their issue of having 8 defensemen on the roster and they don't have to take any players back.

Harris has underlying numbers at 5v5 that Guhle couldn't dream of. I'm not sure how you can't have room for that guy.

If you want Harris over Guhle that tells me all I need to know.

No interest in Allen or in a goalie? Because your duo seems bad…

We have too many Ld and it’s causing an issue right now. We need to trade one and for me Harris is the odd man out.

Harris is 23 where as ghule is 21… ghule is already playing more then him so it seems like a pretty straightforward decision.

Hawks decline. They aren't trading for another left shot D. And how exactly does another LD help Bedard?

Allen last season had a worse save percentage than both goalies.

If Allen can maintain a .910+ SV% by the deadline, absolutely, but I doubt he will do that. Also Cam Talbot has actually been pretty good considering who he's had to play against.

Apparently you aren't in tune with Chicago, because we have 3 LHD prospects too many as is in Rockford who need NHL time, and 3 rookies already playing LHD in the NHL. The Hawks will likely trade at least 1 or 2 in the next year to bolster our forward prospects. Hawks decline all day on Harris for this reason.

CHI also has too many LD, and most of them have more upside and promise than Harris. We're good. But, I'm sure there would be interest around the league if MTL needs to move him.

Guhle is playing more because Habs coaching and management apparently don't know how to read a spreadsheet. Guhle might be good one day but Harris is already putting up really good numbers in his current role. What the Habs do, and what is actually smart, may be two different things.
