And? Age might matter if it translated into team control but it doesn't. Kucherov is actually the better deal term wise with 4 years left to Marner's 2. The 30 year old also still puts up points at a higher rate including more goals,

Kucherov is a great player and his stats don't lie. He is 4 yrs older than Marner and maybe has 3 real good years in production left. Leafs would never make this trade but the difference in value is questionable.
