That Tarasenko signing is pretty bad.

Giving up a 2nd and Kubalik for a 4th to make it work, no cap space, having to waiver KBD, Thomson and Sokolov, not signing Pinto off the bat.

Couple of things to consider:

1. They knew Pinto was getting suspended, they didn't need to sign him off the bat.
2. Tarasenko has been excellent, that was actually a very good signing... so far.

I agree wavering first/second rounders sucks and that should have been better managed. The trade suggested here is completely unnecessary at this point and doesn't require a second.

I don't see why you would need to pay Kubalik and his low cap hit. If nobody wants to pay, you waive him and someone would claim him for free
