Huberdeau's contract is THE worst iin the NHL, period. To unload that contract alone costs MORE than a 1st.
And Monahan, right now, is worth AT LEAST a 1st round pick.

Now, Monteal is PAYING a 1st round pick AND Monahan to get the worst contract (8 years!) in the NHL.
Habs can afford to keep Anderson at the moment; they're not in a rush.
