Canucks decline. Not giving up a 1st for Fabbro and Novak. Fabbro is nothing special to give up high picks for, and Novak doesn’t fill any needs. Canucks forward group is set. Sure Novak could be an upgrade over PDG, but it’s not worth the risk. PDG has been great on the 2nd line, he has great chemistry with Miller/Boeser and their play styles all complement each other very well. All 3 are on pace to shatter their career highs by wide margins, it’s not worth the risk of breaking them up to try some new guy who you just gave up a 1st for.

The only one I'd accept for NSH is the Carrier trade.

A 1st isn't enough for both Fabbro and Novak, and Beauvillier has no value to NSH. The VAN fans who have convinced themselves that Fabbro isn't a top four defenseman, but an Ethan Bear-like 6th-7th dman don't watch hockey.

Necas and Raanta don't have enough value land Saros (especially with retention), and why would NSH want them anyway? In hopes of flipping them? CAR has cap space and futures. They can offer NSH something of value to them, instead of making the Preds have to re-sell whatever CAR feels like parting with.

Necas and morrow could both be big pieces for Nashvilles future what are you on?

Morrow is by far the best d prospect in your system, very close to nhl ready and is right handed. Necas is 70 point scorer who has improved his 2 way game and can play Center as shown in the past.

There is no forward prospect currently in Carolina that has the potential to be as good as necas and I highly doubt any late first you get from them will turn into a necas esce player either

Necas does have value, but I wouldn't be happy if he were all NSH got for Saros with max retention (Raanta has no value to NSH, and I look at the Morrow-Tomasino part of the trade as a one-for one swap).

Morrow would be nice to have, but I wouldn't call him the best d prospect NSH would have. That'd be Molendyk.

As a Vancouver fan I'd do this but only if the first was changed to the 2024 pick.
