Why would the Canes do that? They want to win the cup, and trading Skjei is not how that would be accomplished.

Ottawa will sign Pinto to league minimum when his suspension is over and has no interest in trading him.

Ottawa offers you Pinto for Leonard.

Kane should not cost 6 million, Caps have no need to trade that much for Skjei, Pinto would never sign that contract, and Washington should not be trading Miroshnichenko.

My only guess is he's confusing the fact that Pesce has been involved in trade rumors, not Skjei.

The only way Ottawa would do this is if they were higher on Miroshnichenko than Pinto, which is not likely considering on high they have been on Pinto. Although with Mann and Dorion gone, you never know.

Pass on all of these except Skjei although even though the value is fine there don't know why CAR would do it
