Either add Minten to that Zadorov offer OR remove the 2x 3rds in exchange for a 1st and deal

We clearly value Zadorov completely differently. Time will tell what he ends up getting. I will gladly eat my words if he gets the 1st + you are suggesting.

If Leafs trade Minten or Cowan for Zadorov, I would be quite upset.

What are your thoughts on the values of all the other players I have here though?

I view Lindholm and Hanifin as being very similar. 1st + 3rd + good prospect. These are top tier guys and will fetch very big packages.
I view Tanev as being a 1st + 3rd or 1st + mid prospect. Tanev is a defensive minded #3-4 guy and will get a good package.
I view Zadorov around a 2nd. He is a phyiscal #4-5 dman and will have quite a few suitors. I doubt he fetches a first but I would be happy for Calgary if I were wrong. I understand the Chiarot comparables.

I believe Tanev will fetch a 1st + 3rd or 1st + prospect from one of the competing teams. Vancouver clearly is a competitor at the moment (which is a surprise to me, I was quite hard on them in preseason). They also have a need for a guy like Tanev in their d core.

I have Doubts Tanev will fetch a 1st, even if we are a contender our window is just opening moving a 1st for a soon to be 34 year old ufa just isn't in the cards for us at the moment, if we are moving a 1st it will be for another young team controlled dman like the hronek trade.

COL doesn’t have the cap space even at 50% retained and isn’t trading the equivalent of 2 1st and a 3rd for a pure rental if they did.

The cap can be sorted out quite easily at the deadline. Add a contract into this trade to even out the cap.

I know Colorado has been stingy in trading picks and prospects for rentals. Their team would be extremely scary with a Lindholm addition though. Could be well worth the risk.

If they are going to do a rebuild, then they would need to move guys like Kadri (for sure) and probably Huberdeau and Backlund which would be easier said than done. So, they should be looking to re-tool, even if they trade all 4 of those guys, but what they return in terms of prospects/young players would matter more vs just getting whatever they can.

Maybe Kadri could be dealt to Colorado for a 1st + RJO with 700K-1M retention. Not sure that Colorado would be interested in all the term that comes with his contract, but they could have very well offered him something like 6Mx7 or 6.5Mx6 anyway.

Avs decline. No cap for Lindholm and they need those pieces as the cupboard is still pretty bare.

Canucks pass easily.Tanev is older injury prone and passed his prime.A first would be better spent on a younger up n coming defensemen.IMHO.

Kadri would need full retention or be around 4m to fit. Food for thought, it takes players a few months to usually click in the Avs system, sometimes its hust figuring out where they should be in the lineup(Lehky). That is a lot of assets to spend on a guy they know they can't resign and has a very high probability of not integrating fully come playoffs. Need him well before TDL, can't afford him at 50% as it stands

Except that COL is already committed to add a million after the deadline in Kovalenko when the KHL season finishes. Also moving Ritchie and a 1st for a pure rental will mean basically passing on the last 3 drafts outside of Gulyayev and COL isn’t at the point where they are pushing all their chips in on one run.

Okay, Zadorov aside

I don't know enough about Calum Ritchie, but he's at least a Recent 1st Rounder, not not bust 1st Rounder you're trying to sneak in like other might. So if this was the best we could get, than fine, but I'm hoping for Better Quality Picks and a Better Quality Prospect, like CLB's 1st + Sillinger + 2nd/Bean/Boqvist or BUF's 1st + Middlestadt + 2nd/Krebs and if he comes with an extension, more

A 1st + 3d is basis for a Trade for Tanev 50% returned, but it'll take a Sweetener like Woo or Klimovich to win the Tanev Sweepstakes and we'd likely prefer a Good Prospect over the 3rd, like Raty or Brzustewicz OR maybe a guy like Garland 30% retained instead

The Hanifin Trade is very enticing. A 1st + Top Prospect in Big Lian Bischel + a 3rd for Retention, that's nice, but we probably have to take something back for Cap Reasons (Faksa or Hakanpaa maybe?) and we'd try to upgrade the 3rd to a Prospect like Dellandrea, Harley or O.Back and possibly event the 1st to Logan Stankoven if they'll bite

I pitched a Trade with ARI for Hanifin with No Retention for their 1st + Soderstrom + Langlois + Dumba, which I feel is similar to what Hampus Lindholm fetched for ANA. Of course, Hanifin would need to be going with an an extension already in place or committed to signing one upon arrival
