Starts with Pettersson coming back the other way, or there's nothing to talk about.

I'm not sure the Pens world decline on the basis of talent (since they seem to have given up on POJ) but they most certainly don't have the cap.

Very bad for Minnesota. Less quantity, more quality.

Was he injured before they benched him? I like to think so but I'm not sure. Sullivan is fickle.

Why does that even matter? The cap makes this discussion moot.

Minnesota says “no thanks,” and they’re not willing to trade their best player.
Wild decline.

It's better, but it still doesn't want to make me trade Kaprizov if I'm the Wild.

Boeser and Kuzmenko don't bring a lot to the table, if we're trading Kaprizov that means we're not going to be competitive during the 1.5 years left on their contracts, and that means we don't need either of them. And unfortunately that's where the bulk of your value is coming from. The two prospects are average, nothing special prospects, they project as bottom four D or middle six F at best. Minnesota has a plethora of those, two more isn't going to entice. Same basic idea with the 1st. You expect it to be a late 1st, which is most likely going to result in a bottom four D or middle six F at best.

And even if you'd like to argue we can flip Boeser or Kuzmenko for more, guess which type of assets they're going to return? Bottom four D or middle six F prospects at best.

If I'm trading Kaprizov, I'm giving priority to the deals that offer me one single premium asset (top 10 pick, equivalent top prospect). Even if that package only has 2-3 pieces as opposed to 4-5.

I like some of your thinking but I do have to call you out on saying Boeser and Kuzmenko have such little value. Boeser is leading the league in goals haha and Kuzmenko had 39 last yr.

Lekkeremaki is a very highly skilled forward who is scoring well in the SHL. Bruzcevich is leading the OHL in scoring as a Dman. Not sure your projections are totally accurate. They both have top of the lineup upside.
