Call me crazy but I think he has been better than Caufield this season

A bust? No. 1st overall worthy ? No.

The points haven't been there but his play has looked much better. Need to stay on that top line to continue producing.

Still way too early to say he's a bust or not a bust. If he's 21 and hasn't grown much more, then that's when people should say he's starting to look like a bust.

They'll probably still say he's a bust because of the lack of points so far, even if he's looking better acquainted. Legit saw people call Bedard a bust like 5-games into the season. I'm guessing they meant he was overhyped but just shows you the unrealistic expectations people have for rookies now since McDavid.

It's more a massive waive of people.

Like last season, they saying that Shane Wright was better. But now, they saying that Cooley was better.

I just call that as a massive waive for people, their not objective.

Slafkovsky went from being bad bad to MTL best forward in the last two weeks lmao
But holy **** how good he is playing right now. Imagine him in 3-4 years, he might become MTL best player. It took Byfield 4 years to put it together, we are already seeing big steps in the last two weeks

That's exactly what I belive, he will gonna be great at 21-22.

But maybe, Montreal maked a mistake about not sending him to Laval last season, but I belive that's just extend the process of his development to stay in the NHL.

Not a bust but won’t ever be as good as Rantanen. Maybe Meier if he develops very well or else it’s more of a middle 6F

Anyone saying a 19 year old who has less than 40 NHL games coming into a season is a bust has zero credibility and should be shunned

People need to chill. It’s going to take him until he’s 22-23 until we have a better assessment. Look at KK this year, it took him 5 years.

Have always liked….

“Top-6 by year 6”

Can’t remember who said it. Maybe McKenzie? But I have always thought it was good rule to follow in the bust-or-not conversations.

Give Slafkovsky four years, if he isn’t contributing by then, then break out the b-word. He is a kid in the NHL.
