Cool story bro. Their only full seasons they both put up ~30 points, Drysdale did it as a right shot defenseman, which is inherently more valuable than a winger.

yes and as we know, the best way to evaluate a defensemen is by how many points they put up. Cool story bro, tell it again.

We wouldn’t do that trade though

I wonder how many of those points collected were Drysdale happening to touch the puck before Trevor Zegras did all the other work. I’m sure Drysdale contributes more to the offense than say Jokiharju, but it’s ludicrous to think the Sabres should give up Quinn and hope he can still be a top 4 defender here. Not to mention you kind of need defenders who can actually play in their own end, not just glorified forwards like Erik Karlsson.

The point being, which you VERY clearly missed, was that it's harder to put up points on defense than it is on wing, and if they are putting up similar points, and Drysdale is a RHD, that is SIGNIFICANTLY more valuable, so no, Anaheim doesn't take that deal.

To bad he didn't play any defense while doing it.

If a DEFENSEman,
isn’t good at DEFENSE,
then it doesn’t matter how many points he gets
We just aren’t interested

THAT is the point dude
We’ll just keep our good young forward
