Colorado would have to add.

Grzelcyk is a better player for their respective positions plus bruins are taking on cap.

I’m intrigued I can’t lie but either Colorado adds picks or pays a team to retain on johansen

Bruins are only taking on $312,500 in cap as RyJo is already retained down to $4m by NAS. Most you're probably getting as an addition for that difference is a low end pick or prospect.

I don't think the Avs need or want to send out Annunen in a trade unless another G is somehow coming back in it.

Don't see much reason for the Bruins to do this, Johansen hasn't been good and he's locked up for an additional year.

They need center depth a whole lot more than a 3rd pairing dman and truth be told Malinski, JJ, and Jones have been just fine. People forget the top 4 in COL play over 75% of the game. Take Annunen out of the Novak trade,

COL just isn’t trading a center as mid as RyJo has been Gryz is a 3rd pairing guy and the whole premise they need to replace Girard is false he started skating with the team, but I definitely respect your stance.

You can take out Annunen, add a 4th or 5th and we’ll throw in one of our better bottom 6 grinders for the run.

Assuming this is Nashville deciding to sell at the deadline, though.

I've seen speculation that Novak costs less than a first. I'm not sure but would try a 2nd and/or Olausson/Meyers before going the route of a first rounder.

I'd send them Behrens - who may not even sign since he's blocked on the left - and a mid-round pick for Novak.

Would you say COL still would need add an extra D in case of an injury? Or do you think Girard/Malinski/Jones could jump up to top 4. IMO they need a depth d man for playoffs anyway.

Fingers crossed Landeskog could hop in the third line in playoffs, but i def hear your point adding more centre depth. Colton can be moved to play left wing as well in case they find someone

He’s blocked on the left for now, if they acquire a 2C that is a permanent solution moving Girard might be a foregone conclusion, that being said Malinski has been good so far but a 3rd pairing of Behrens Malinski would be very small and not really ideal.

Girard is a top 4 guy he was playing the 3rd most minutes amongst dmen before entering the PAP. Jones in the top 4 would not be good, Malinski has been really solid but I wouldn’t be excited about that. Another D particularly a RD that kills penalties (who doesn’t want that though) as part of the 3rd pairings would be a nice luxury but is way down the totem pole of needs, which I would rank in order as being 2C that drives 5v5 play, 4C that is good on face offs and PK’s, a back up goalie, and a middle 6 winger with some scoring pop so LOC and Cogs can be the 4th line wingers primary pk guys.

Anyone who you could see as a potential fit for the 2nd line C role? Lets put it this way, who would you love to see (besides Crosby grin ) and who would be a realistic option?

Lindholm is the dude everybody is talking about, including reports COL is interested in. The problem with 2C’s is teams that have them don’t want to move them unless they have to. Unrealistic 2C I would love for COL to somehow get is McTavish but it’s a guarantee that Byram and probably more would have to go the other way. Low key guys that would be good Brock Nelson, a guy like Danault would be perfect but no way LAK is trading him, last year CF was hot and bothered for Gourde. The big thing is they need a 2C that can drive some 5v5, RyJo’s problem is that he was suppose to be a facilitator and dude has 1 even strength assist in 32 games.
