Not to mention Marner has a NMC. Don't think he's waiving that for Ottawa.

Tarasenko has a NMC too, and don't think he's waiving that for Toronto. If he bails, he's likely waiving for an actual contender.

Leafs need more snipers in the top six. Passing and defense can be taught and linemates with good chemistry can find each other on the ice. Shooting can't be taught, not at this level. Marner is not a foundational piece like Matthews or even Nylander.

Leafs need a true 3C to form a formidable third line. Henrique provides that.

Tarasenko has 6 goals and Batherson has 13... Marner has 13... And stripping defenders is hard to do... Batherson's awful defence makes him very unattractive

Domi does the job... Unless it's a massive upgrade, no need to spend a 2nd on Henrique

That's a poor offer for a retained Tanev and Vladar.
Big in quantity but not quality.
I have a feeling Ottawa declines aswell.
