Description

Lindholm extends 7.5m x 7 years.

Calgary goes for a package of young prospects and a 2nd over the 1st.

Ottawa gets a defensive RD, sheds cap from their LD and get a 1st and 2nd.

Washington add a lot of scoring from their D and add a very good centre to their group long term.

Those two would be nasty additions. Can't remember a TDL that would fire up a fan base like this.

I'm not sold on the Lindholm deal simply because I don't know what Calgary would think about the two prospects over a first + one very good prospect. Not sure either of those are 'very good' but I'm a fan of Lap.

Ottawa accepts for sure. Maybe Calgary would take a first and get rid of another prospect like Hendrix Lapierre

I don't mind the deal for the Flames, although Ryan Leonard would be the first target over Lapierre. I think Calgary has a couple of Lapierre equivalents in Zary and Pelletier, and I'd be willing to take drop one of the defencemen to snag Leonard in this deal.

A lot of teams would beat that Lindholm offer especially with an extension in place.
