A 5th for a guy who isn’t even cutting it in the AHL? Why?

Hahaha no way a team gives up a 5th round pick for Grzelcyk, let alone a 2nd and a 3rd

Hawks decline. Gryz isn't worth a 2nd or a 3rd, let alone both. And the last thing the Hawks are spending picks on is an undersized left shot D.

Gryz is a 2nd pairing LHD on the wrong side of 30 who lost his spot to a rookie and is on an expiring deal, teams aren't jumping for the services of a player like that. Maybe if you retain and ship him out you'd get a 3rd, maybe a 2nd from another contender.

Hawks are set on the left side. No need to send anything for Gryz.

Chicago is probably the last team that would trade for Grizz and he brings back half of that.

Nobody wanted Zboril for free, they are not giving up a pick for him.

I think you are being very generous calling him a second pairing LHD, the guy literally has one point in 20 games this season, the Bruins would need to pay the Hawks to take him.

I think he's more of a keep the puck out of the net kind of D, but yeah, you're not wrong.

Why would the Bruins even do a soft sell, maybe Gryz but Chicago isn't paying anything for him but another team probably would though you would get maybe a 4th for him, a 3rd at best.

As for Zboril well he's an AHL call up at best at this point, no one is giving even a late round pick for him.

Even if they sold off SOME pieces I can't see JVR being one of them, if he stays at the same pace he'll break the 50 point mark again, was probably one of the best value free agent signings of the summer... lol
