Mtl have absolutely no incentive in making such deal. Monahan is probably the second best option at the center position for this deadline. Price will be higher for sure.

You need a much better prospect or another painful piece of draft capital to have the Hawks biting on 3.25 years of (mediocre) AHL goalie owed 15 million more dollars. Like in the range of Holoway or another first with maybe talking the Hawks into sending a late 2nd or 3rd to offset that second bigger piece. I also think the Hawks would want to include Mrazek if in fact they took a Campbell dump on (where I think they would give him a chance at least for next season to be a reclamation porject).

I wouldn’t start planning the parade yet. I little more thought needs to go in the trade proposals to get them even considered by the other teams.
