Devils accept? At that price it's hard to say no even if he kinda sucks in the playoffs

Tatar STINKS this year, who are you even moving for him? I don't want to give Lindy an excuse to sit Holtz.

Tatar doesn't do 4th line things. It's not as Tatar or Bastian or nothing situation. If anything, get someone that actually can punish a guy for hitting Mercer with three seconds left. We don't need more attempted scoring.

i wouldnt. No room for him. your not playing him with Nico and mercer, when Palat and Haula have proven to do what Tatar did last again you just want everyone and anyone, ex devils should stay ex devils

So COL trades a guy on track for 23 goals for a 4th line guy they let walk once already, and a guy on track for the exact same pt total as RyJo and COL is taking on over a $1M in cap and they are suppose to kick in a 2nd, god CF is special sometimes. Needless to say COL isn’t doing that.

He's an upgrade over Juulsen / Friedman, he's a proven playoff performer and it only costs a borderline 4th line forward that Ron Francis might like.

Also, Schultz is from BC, so he might re-sign with the Canucks.

Spot on, Tatar is a middle 6 scorer who has little to no value if he isn’t scoring

1. It's actually only 500K in cap.

PEB makes league minimum and is a proven veteran in the playoffs who would force one of your borderline 4th liners off the team.

2. I never knew point production during the regular season was the only thing that mattered when making trades in preparation for the playoffs.

Maybe RyJo's point total is the same as Wennberg's because RyJo plays for a far better team ?

3. You acquired RyJo for next to nothing and he has a another year after this.

Wennberg is a rental.

By next year, RyJo will probably be dead weight.

4. God, homers like you are special sometime.

Needless to say, I couldn't care less what COL decides to do at the trade deadline.

For me, making AGMs is about throwing random ideas at the wall and seeing what sticks.

God homers like me that think COL is paying to move RyJo when it would be just as easy to just move him for FC like to CHI or any other team. Or is it God homers like you that think anybody that plays on a good team who plays 4 minutes a game less than Weinberg is just benefiting from COL’s good players. Oh so let’s do simple math Wennberg $4.5M PEB $775k is over $5M RyJo’s hit is $4M so yeah COL is adding a $1M. The fact of the matter is the only one doing a homer overpay is you my guy.

I'd also add the Justin Schultz used to play for Rutherford / Allvin in Pittsburgh.

And they won back to back Cups together as well.

Actually, it's even better in Colorado.

The difference between Wennberg and RyJo is 500K.

But the difference between PEB and MacDermid who you're barely playing anyway is 212.5K.

You send MacDermid down to the minors because he's useless and his cap hit goes away.

And if he gets claimed off waivers, who cares.

500K - 212.5K = 237.5K in additional cap for Colorado.

237.5K in additional cap for Colorado.

OH MY GOD!!!!

THE HORROR!!!

And it's not so much about paying to move RyJo as it is about getting Wennberg + PEB.

And yes, RyJo is just benefitting from playing on a Cup Contender, so thank you for proving my point.

And I'm not a fan of Seattle.

But you're a fan of Colorado.

So if there's anybody who's a homer, it's you.

I’m a homer but I’m realistic, it’s a net decrease on the cap space of over a $1M, COL doesn’t need to pay to make RyJo go away. He produced at the same level as Wennberg playing over 20% less time and with most common linemates of Tatar and Drouin not MacKinnon and Rantanen. Regardless dude is still on pace for 23 goals playing 14 minutes on what planet is that cap dump? What’s Wennberg’s production do when he goes from 18 to 14? PEB they let walk once weren’t interested even keeping him dirt cheap. MacDermid bro you are preaching to the choir, what’s the point in having him.

Methinks you don't like this trade only because of what happened in the playoffs last year.

It's ok.

Idk man, I probably do this trade. Wennberg is better than RyJo and can play with more pace. PEB is old as hell but he’s making league minimum and is a competent face off guy that can PK. Plus you know he’s a good locker room fit.

I’ll take this trade over 90% of CF trades.

Wennberg is nothing special he hasn’t been since his Columbus days, dude is playing 18 minutes and producing at the same rate as RyJo, he is a particularly good face off guy he gets worked in even strength shot share and he is producing at his anemic level as RyJo with an almost 103 PDO. Trading scarce draft capital to not get remotely better isn’t great imo.

Tatar doesn't finish at any good rate but he's a forecheck machine, solid at transition, and very good defensively. He's a perfect 3LW. I'll take 40 pts and all of those other things any day of the week over Bastian or 4LW Brendan Smith

Yes, but you want him at 3LW? Over who? Palat? Haula? Move Holtz?

The 4th line should be to fill the holes the Devils have weak spots in, and that is grit and nasty. The Capitals games in particular this year showed we can be shoved around. If Timo, Bahl, Bastian and others won't crush people, find someone who will make those teams pay.
