Jarnkrok would be more of an asset to a lot of teams but Leafs need size and experience in the bottom 6, plus brings the tough guy presence because Reaves won’t be playing any playoff games.
Isles trade they need scoring and we need D and Lee is a good 2 way power forward. Should help out both teams

Leafs also need decent shut down guys not making a lot of money and can score depth goals. Jarnkrok is definitely better for the leafs and Foglino is. Foglino was already on the leafs and when he was here in the playoffs against Montreal pretty well the only thing he did was fight Corey Perry for the knee on Tavares.

Hawks decline, Foligno has become the unofficial captain of the team, his leadership is more valuable at this point than a few more points another player may provide. Expect to see Foligno extended before the TDL.

I have said it before and say it again. Only way Marner or Nylander is traded is for a good top 4 dman and a good 60+ point offensive producer young enough. Islanders only have Dobson to match that. So no way a trade is happening. Lee is a decent acquisition but this trade does not benefit the Leafs. A Tavares lee Bertuzzi line is lacking a skill as Lee plays a similar game to Bertuzzi.
Second, jarnkrok is cheaper and better offensively that Foligno. Foligno was a failure once for them, they won't go for it again.

No argument there. Hence the no deal. If I am the Isles Dobson is number 1 no go. If I am the Leafs, I want only Dobson +. These teams will not be able to match a deal that both sides are happy with.

More craziness basing a trade on extensions. Leafs lose big time. 7m Lee is negative value.
Leafs are infinitely better having Nylander and Brodie for this playoff run, and have 12m in free cap next summer instead of 13m in Lee and Police.

No, I see it but people have short term memory loss from playoffs and how Florida bullied us. TB always guns for AM and Marner and TBH that series could have went the way.
