As a player, Connelly is definitely interesting, and he may have learned from his mistakes and all that. But I still doubt CHI is the team that is going to give him the benefit of the doubt. They just can't handle that kind of PR right now, after the Kyle Beach sexual assault scandal breaking, and Corey Perry, and everything else in between. Then again, maybe they want to show that they are both hard on misconduct but accepting of people who have admitted and learned from their mistakes. Who knows...

But, yeah, Celebrini and Buium would be VERY interesting. I really don't think CHI has much business looking at LHD, but Buium showed his aweseom compete level and that he can effectively play both sides of the ice on defense, in the World Juniors. And that is more than enough for me to consider him to be on CHI's radar. Definitely better than anything I have seen from Dickinson. I don't mind Dickinson, but the way is portrayed as a top 3 pick in the draft makes no sense to me. I think Buium is gonna be a stud, though.

Three years of Jack Campbell and his $5m cap hit would cost more than a 1st and 3rd round pick to move, add Holloway and the Hawks may accept.

Also, if I am Davidson I am not trading away draft capital for Kuzmenko, there will be comparable players available in FA that will cost only money.

I have a hard time believing the Hawks would trade that package for Kuzmenko. I think he's worth more if he can turn things around but he's a pending UFA after next season. Net exactly the type of move a rebuilding team makes.

Well let's see. Chances of the Hawks signing Hanafin and Gryz as UFA's is less than zero. Drafting another LD in the 1st round? Nope, no chance. Taking 3 years of Campbell for a single 1st? Highly unlikely unless it ends up being a top 8 pick. Trading all that for one year of Kuzmenko. Can't see it. Hawks might have interest in him, but not at that price. Moore and Rinzel will both play another year in college next season. And all indications are that Nylander is re-signing in Toronto.

Matheson is available but likely going to be moved for value i dont see CHI willing to trade.
Then again Colton Dach might be someone you'd consider packaging
Habs fans would over value him and love his Pezzetta like style of play

But with Lane Hutson coming no point in hanging on to Matheson
Makes more sense to trade him when his values high

Interesting points made, but I doubt CHI would have any interest in Matheson, at all.

Hawks need a young RD or 2 not Matheson who's about to be 30 years old and plays LD.

No thanks.

Another 1st or Holloway short of getting into an actual conversation about what other minor pieces need to balance out the Hawks taking Campbell.

Kuzmenko trade don't make much sense for either party. Nucks are chasing a presidents trophy and are likely that caliber of a team again next year. They are not trading a present for a bunch of middling (at best) futures. Collectively, all those pieces are probably worth Kuzmenko, but a rebuilding team shouldn't give up all that nor should a win now team be taking all that as opposed to quality current NHL player.
