Montreal says no, not enough value for Monahan (Montreal doesn't need LHD, we already have way way too many. Torgersson is being outperformed by the Defenseman in Montreal's system, let alone our actual forward prospects. That leaves an unproven goalie and a 4th)

Yeah, a single 2nd would be a better quality than this quantity of low value assets

Oh look a "realistic" Monahan trade that doesn't involve anything the Habs would be looking for, obviously the Habs pass. If you want to trade for Monahan it's gonna take a 1st + 3rd or one of your top forward prospects like Lambert, Barlow, Lucius or McGroarty simple as that

Neither player does anything or is an improvement on anything the Jets already have. No from Winnipeg on borh.

That's a massive overpay for a near worthless player in Monahan.

I tend to think Monahan won't return as much as Habs fans want, but this grab bag of assorted leftovers isn't going to cut it either. Just takes one playoff-bound GM to fall in love with the idea of adding a big veteran center to get a first.
Dumba has been wildly inconsistent. Sometimes looks great, sometimes doing something stupid. I think the plan remains to flip him and Zucker, and it might not take a second if he doesn't tighten up his game.

Again my rule about posts with "Realistic" in the title proves correct. They aren't.

My assumption is that Chevy & his staff will exhaust and scout potential available 2C centremen if and when they need to move forward.

Many have been mentioned (5 to 10 players) on this site, including Sean Monahan. Monahan provides skills that could be a "fit" to a degree with Wpg, but in saying that, his injury history of late is a big concern to me for starters (high risk). I have done some research, seen the cost to Wpg & the reasons for that amount (1st & 3rd) from some supporters, which in my mind leads to a quick pass and move onto the next guy in the case of Monahan.

Honestly, I will be very interested to see the final trade or outcome for Sean Monahan.

Ive come around on trading for Monahan a little more, still wouldn't give up a frist, but maybe a second? 3rd and a decent prospect??
No interest in Dumba at that price.
