Torontos gonna be so mad, in their defense, how does subtracting a defenseman help them? Yeah Bowens alot better but they need a RD alot more.

They're also convinced Knies is the next coming of Lemieux and that they dont have to give up anything good to get something good.

The blues wouldn’t want anything to do with that Woods contract. There isn’t even a need for forwards anyways you would have to add a really good sweetener to make it happen. Blues aren’t gonna do the avs any favours.

Woods been a solid bottom six for the avs and fits the style. Brings grit and physicality they are missing.

I don’t think Wood is a bad player. But I also don’t think he’s a player out make such a long term commitment to. I guess maybe the Avs thought he was a player that they could knock down his AAV by extending out the contract.

Yeah but I think in year 5 depending on where he's at health wise and playing the avs could just bury him in the minors or trade him. He's in his prime age right now. He will be 34 by time his contract is up.
