To me any pick between 6-10 may be a fine price for Zegras but there's no way I'm adding to 5th overall for Zegras

In the end I would rather they just draft Demidov or Lindstrom but could see MTL making this move for Zegras as management may think of him as the missing piece that they don't have to wait for

I would trade that 5th overall for Boldy, signed to a 7x7 deal instead of Zegras

If he was that would command 1 OA for a 22 year old with RFA rights intact.

Blue chip piece at position of need, top 6 winger or RHD, that means one of Slaf or Reinbacher, or there's no deal.

Zegras is a shallow calories player at a 30 pt pace this season that isnt worth anything close to a lottery pick unless you are the same two Anaheim fans (there are only 2) then hes worth more than Lemieux+Gretzky combined



At least he can shoot but has proven little in the playoffs and hasnt found the space which is still more than TV. I'd be hesitant but definitely better than the regular season trickster shot specialist and he also has term unlike TV whom can go UFA in 3-4 years.
