Beauvillier wouldn't beat out any Red Wings forward.

He'd be a healthy scratch.

Even players like Veleno and Fischer (PK) who've carved out roles.

The blues would probably just play Kessel. He's done ok and he needs to get reps. No need to bring a 31 year old in an take playing minutes away from the younger players

When it comes to draft capital in the form of 5th-7th round picks it probably makes more sense to just keep these guys. How badly does CHI really need a handful of 7ths.

Kostin or Fischer maybe - but one goes out after Kane is back and the other rotates with Beauvillier.

Like I said - reclamation project, and he's super cheap, so if he doesn't work you just let him go

Kostin hasn't been able to stay healthy.

Fischer is a valuable penalty killer.

There has to be a better fit for Beauvillier somewhere else.

4.15 mil isn't super cheap for what AB brings. 🤔

I don't think it's funny at all. If there is one thing we have learned about Bedard this year, it is that, to him, any excuse to play hockey is a good excuse. I absolutely agree. CHI should be sending everyone down that is waiver exempt and available. Including guys whose junior and/or college seasons have ended, if they are ready for the next step. But especially the NHL guys, they are gonna need the confidence boost after this god awful season.

We've stolen Rockfords talent all year. The guys that were suppose to stay there have been up and down several times. I think a deep playoff run would be good for the young players. Send everyone you can down. As far as the trades, I think I'd rather keep some guys than get back 6th and 7ths. Plus, the retention slots used from Mrazek and Johnson are worth at least that alone. So we'd be better off keeping them and being 3rd party in a trade. I dont think thats enough to take on Campbells contract either.

Kostin and Fischer have rolls that Beauvillier can't fill. A 6th is very cheap for Beauvillier but the Wings just don't have room for him.

Chicago just gave up a 5th to get him just to turn around and flip him 6th? That's an odd move for a rebuilding team that should be holding draft picks.

Oh. Yeah. I was just agreeing with the stuff about sending guys down to the AHL. But, you're right, those trades are not good at all.

Because of the CHL rule Bedard & Korchinski would not be available to play in the AHL.
Most of the trades are not worth the effort. Can’t package a bunch of crappy picks in return for 1 good 1 like you can in video games.

The only trade the Hawks MAY be interested in is the Tinordi proposal but St. Louis would have no interest in doing that. The rest are awful for Chicago.

In the interest of fairness, you nailed the title of this thread!

That isn't exactly true. If their junior club's season is over, they can play in the AHL. Which, Seattle and Regina are both not really in the WHL playoff picture, and if they do make it, they will probably be a quick out. So, they could play in the AHL. Just depends on those things. But yes, their junior club has first claim, if they aren't playing on an NHL roster.
