Why not? He's a monster of a Slovak, would be great for the bottom 6.

Just came here looking for exactly this. They desperately need a depth center right now.

Armia 2.0 without the big contract and the personnality, we need a big body to retrieve the puck along the board.

Why not giving a chance to Lias Andersson instead?

Monahan will be traded soon, Newhook is everything BUT a center, Dvorak is out.

    We need a professionnal 4th liner C.

Knowing this team, what are the odds another guy isn't hurt before then? Newhook also wasn't very good at center, and certainly wouldn't be playing 4C where Ruzicka would be slotting in.

Ohhhh I would not get your hopes up for that regarding Ruzicka... Guy loses more puck battles than Timbits player.

Surprised the Flames put him on waivers. You would think they could have at least got a late round pick for him.

he's not in the best lineup to learn how to play his stick handling, but with Armia next to him he could learn from that and become our next Armia.

Guy played down the stretch run of a season on a roster that won the West two years ago, then played with Lindholm for plenty of time last season. He's hand ample opportunity to figure out his game and is still by far one of the softest players in the league. Pucks go to die on his stick and he could have the worst transition game on a team over the past 3 years.

Good for the tank I guess - the guys's contract is up anyway at the end of the season.

development is a thing in MTL, we do not look at a player and say he's done, no, we offer them tools to understand where they lack skills!

And then who is 3C on this team? Especially after Monahan is traded?

This Ruzicka put up pretty decent numbers last year offensively for a guy that played 11 minutes / game (1.9 P/60 which is higher than someone like KK for example who we lost has ever put up) and he has average defensive metrics too which is all we could honestly for with a 4C. At a less than league minimum contract? Why not.

He had the potential to blossom into someone worth a 1st round pick at one point. Really disappointed the team is giving up on him
