I know the Canes need goaltending depth, but do we need 7?

Leafs aren’t moving a first this year so they pass on Chicago however Murphy isn’t available, leafs aren’t trading Gregor so they pass on ducks, a lot going on with that Dallas trade I assume both teams decline

Are we sellers or buyers in this AGM?

The team got worse both for the playoffs and for future

Given the rates of injury that the Canes have had... I would say yes... Plus a couple of them are coming off the books during the offseason (Raanta, and Martin). Thou if a longer-term solution at a reasonable price is on the table then i'd rather do that than just a short term one

Hawks decline. Highly unlikely that the Hawks move Murphy this season. But even if they did move him, that offer isn't getting him w/ retention. Take out the 2nd going back to the Leafs and replace Niemela and Timmins w/ Lilypad would be an offer the Hawks consider. But again, Murphy is probably not getting moved anyway.

Due to the high demand for Maroon (and Bogosian for that matter), the cost has gone up to a 5th now

I don’t see why the Ducks would need to do this move? Carrick has been fine and fulfills his role as grinder 4th liner among a bottom six who is non existent.

Him and Leason are our only consistent bottom six players at the moment

That return for Murphy 50% retained for two more seasons and a 2nd round pick is laughable.
