Monahan to LA?
This trade seems weird.

I think this is a very bullish trade market for Monahan nor a great fit for LA. Monahan has limited 5v5 stats and will certainly not place on LA's PowerPlay. He has faceoff upside but this is an extremely steep price to pay for someone to play in the bottom six. Turcotte is a mixed bag in terms of value, but I'd imagine if LA is moving him, they will move him for someone who is a surefire top-six forward.

The Kings aren't going to trade their best forward prospect for a rental.

Turcotte was just recalled and played in his first NHL game so far this season.

Best forward propect??? Lmao your funny

At this point, IF he ''pans out'' Turcotte will be a 3rd line center best case scenario lmao.

The trade makes no sense for the fit, not the price.

He is the Kings best forward prospect. I'm not sure if that says more about the state of the Kings' prospect pipeline or Turcotte, but that doesn't make it any less true.

Turcotte has looked very good this season. He has missed a lot of time over the last 3 years with various injurie that have impeded his development and prolonged his path to the NHL, but the Kings are still very high on him.

No disrespect to Kenny Connors or Ryan Conmy, but is it really a stretch to call Turcotte their best forward prospect?

What a strange thing to contest

Ig the only possibility would be if they call byfield a prospect

Turcotte is a project like Kirby Dach. The value in this trade is similar to Dach Trade

Nah, Turcotte has less value than Dach had at the time he was traded.

The Kings would probably be glad to take a 1st and 3rd round pick for Turcotte. They have no interest in a rental forward, especially one that is the opposite handedness of what they need during a season where the playoffs might not even happen.
