Henrique retained is getting more than that. I think Anaheim likely parlays this into late second or a good (not great) prospect and a 3rd

I can't see a world where the bruins send Poitras back to junior.

I don’t want them too think even playing sub 10 min a night just being around the team helps him. But it’s a real conversation and possibility if they want to get him more ice time

Both get declined quickly. No value at all.

Unless Minny wants to extend Grizz and he’s willing, considering their cap situation next year don’t see it at all, there is nothing there for them. With Middleton, Brodin, Merrill still under contract on LD next year no need either.

Henrique with that much retention will cost a 1st, or a 2nd with a decent prospect. Not a pile of trash.

I've thought about this - I guess they could send him down and then black ace him for the playoffs, that's not the worst idea.

That would essentially be the route taken if they were to send him down. Right back for black ace in playoffs

I think around Game 40, he gets arbitration rights a year earlier as well. Let’s see how he plays with the all star week off and evaluate

Minny gets 2 young depth guys for cheap and an NHL dman who they could look to extended for two UFAs and a mid pick.

They are nothing more than spare parts. You can get similar to better pieces off of waivers. They can sell those assets off for picks and be better off.

Maybe I’m alone, but I’d like to see Boston reward Fabian Lysell for finally getting it at Providence. I was critical of Mouganel for the way he was handling Lysell, but it looks like he’s taken the “me first” Lysell and cracked the code with him opening up actual possibilities for the kid with plus skating, shooting, agility, and passing.

Also, I’m inclined to give Alec Regula a shot. Hes been, IMO, the best defenseman in the AHL and frankly provides a degree of physicality that I think the team is looking for. I think we’ve learned with Parker Wotherspoon not to underestimate performance at the AHL level.

We don’t have cap space or roster room to give either a shot right now

What are you offering Minnesota that they actually want? It's just a collection of spare parts Boston doesn't want.

It would just require someone to go down or get injured, but I was thinking more when the rosters opened up if that doesn’t happen

Injury would have to LTIR. Brown was called up Saturday because we couldn’t fit beecher under the cap. And sending anyone down are subject to waivers

Basically we can do 23 players with Brown vs Beecher. Lysell fits in that space as well. He makes 863k vs 925k I believe

Still begs the question where is he playing? Not calling him up to play 4th line zero point to that.

I think he will get a thank you call up in March. Don’t see it happening before then

He could easily play on the third line with Frederic graduating to the Pasta/Zacha line. Probably will be injury that gives him the chance. With the way he’s played since the Mouganel call out, he probably deserving

Probably stat wise. Still working on his defensive positioning. I’m fine with all the kids spending the year in providence playing 20 minuets a night. Team is first in the league no need to rush them

Stat wise? His stats have always been good (outside of the 2nd half of last year where he wore out after playing two world juniors). It’s how he’s playing the game now that has changed since the call out by Mouganel. Instead of the me focused game, there is a pretty big difference. More engaged in setting up his teammates, using his speed and effort to create odd man rushes, and being more physical across the board. I’m fine letting him wait, but he’s basically been the best player on Providence for a little over a month now.

Regula doesn’t come up until they are able to do late year call ups. They still have to contemplate waivers with him after 10 days and he won’t clear
