Nothing. He's not a fit for the team. I'd spend the assets elsewhere.

Interesting. Lindholm would likely need a prospect going with him, likely need either a contract going back or a third team retaining and this year is basically the same player as Monahan. It will be interesting to see the returns for Monahan, Henrique and Lindholm

He's sat 8 games and a couple were undoubtedly healthy scratches but there's probably a couple maintenance days in there as well.
We haven't had to ice players if they are a little banged up and Matheson is the only D to play every game. The rest have all had injuries and/or been rotated.

The Jets will have about $5.0 mil cap space at the TDL, so he'll fit.

Points are about all Monahan is similar to Lindholm at and Monahan won't be getting PP1 time or over 18 minutes a game and is bad defensively, bad 5 on 5, poor skating and slow, so I'd rather target a more suitable player.

The Jets are one of the best defensive teams in the league, I wouldn't want to mess with that by adding someone like Monahan.

So probably about six scratches, and a couple "a bit banged up so take the night off to play it safe"?

Also were the scratches maybe to get some other guys into the lineup who were themselves healthy scratched a lot of games?

More or less. The only one who was really scratched extensively was Lindstrom. Harris and Savard had injuries and Xhekaj was injured then sent down for a bit, but Lindstrom was still used sparingly once Struble came up.
