So Savoie and a top 10 pick for Markstrom. Yeah no thanks. No thanks to the original offer. No thanks to just the pick for Markstrom. Goalies don’t return that.

Uh nah. Jokiharju is a great start. Olofsson is of less than zero interest or value to the Blues. Replace him with something they'd actually want, especially if you intend on getting a pick back.

Flyers aren't giving up picks for a goaltender that is playing terribly and they can probably just claim on waivers in a few weeks

WOW
Just delete this @Benzino204

ZERO CHANCE the Sabres give all that up for Markstrom
We don’t want a 34 year old goalie

I think joki is a decent return for a one for one for Faulk, I’m not sure about all sending a draft pick the other way though. Or olloffson.

You can keep Rosen just replace him with something we'd actually want. Like player big enough (156 lbs is way too light) to have a better chance of becoming a bottom 6 NHL player. But without Krebs and the 1st it's no deal.

Would you swap Krebs for Robinson in that Pittsburgh trade?

Firstly, Rosen is closer to 175 nowadays. That was his draft weight. Secondly, there’s about zero chance you get a lottery first for 2 years of Markstrom. Let alone +. Corey Schneider traded for pick 9 after posting a season much better at 26 years old and willing to sign an extension would be an example of a high price for a goalie. You are implying roughly that ++ is wild.

Lolololol- ABSOLUTELY NOT
And this ACGM was made by a Winnipeg fan, NOT a Sabres fan
He’s proving to have little clue what we are looking for
We most likely wouldn’t even be interested in Eller tbh

Where do you come up with crap like this?

Even if Rosen does weigh 174 now that's still pretty light for a 5'11 20 (21 soon) year old hockey player especially when that 20 (almost 21) year old is a left shot winger quite literally the most readily available player type in the entire game. It isn't like he has high end skill either, those guys tend to be over a PPG in the AHL rather quickly. Halfway through his 2nd year in the AHL Rosen is still only an 0.76 PPG player this year and 0.63 for his AHL career to date. He's small, soft, a minus player at both the AHL and NHL level. Finally in 7 NHL games he has 0 points and -3. He's not worth that much, a project at best but most likely just another career minor league player who's too small and soft for the NHL.

Nobody said anything about a lottery pick. It doesn't take much brains to realize Buffalo at the very least would insist the pick be top 10 and probably top 15 protected.

What does a Corey Schneider trade 11 years ago when he was a pending UFA and the cap actually mattered have to do with it?
Markstrom isn't a pending UFA he has 2 years left on his contract plus as teams like Tampa, Vegas and this year Toronto have proven the cap can very easily be circumvented now. It's gotten to the point where to be a top contender you almost have to play fast and loose with LTIR to spend way over the so called cap.

In order:
The original trade has no lottery protection implied, therefore why would I assume you would have it put in (most people make a note). Adding you also made no mention, but insisted on weight of a player means you opened up his page at the very least, meaning you like some sort of detail.
Since the Schneider deal, name a larger return for a goalie of similar stature. I was being generous using him. That trade was made when he was a UFA to be sure, but NJ was able to talk and come with a 7 year pact before hand. Using previous trades regardless of age should be a barometer. And again Schneider had better numbers, was 7 years younger, and came with 7 years to NJ. Cap actually. Schneider’s deal was 8.7% of the cap vs Markstrom’s 7.36 when signed, so marginally better by comparison for Markstrom, completely offset by number of years remaining, age and the other factors I have already mentioned. If you think it’s a bad comp, name another that got a first, a first round prospect type (Rosen) and a young roster player. But bet ya can’t.

Bye, don't bother talking to me again. I don't respond to people who jump to unfounded conclusions and respond to clear statements from me with logical fallacies, misrepresentation/misinterpretation and outright lies about what I just said.

Nothing I said did any of those things. Rosen is small, you just called him way smaller than he is. You want bigger guys, that’s fine. I respect that and want Buffalo to do the same. There was no protection ever hinted by you or the OP, so why would I assume there is one. And using a comparable isn’t a logical fallacy. Seems like you tried to find a better comparable, but realized goalies don’t go for that. Anyways, have a good one.

Ha, didn't see they were a Winnipeg fan. Pittsburgh would have no interest in Robinson, Krebs would be younger and has some potential.

Yeah, that makes sense
We just aren’t looking to give up Krebs
Many think he struggling, but he’s not really
Just isn’t putting up points bc we’ve put him in a heavy defensive role, & frankly, his usual linemates (like Okposo for example) have been pretty mediocre this season

I don’t think he’s a guy we are looking to trade
And i highly doubt we’d “sell low” on him,
which is what everyone seems to want
