Habs fans: Professional GMs don't trade major assets when their market value is at its lowest, so stop with the Zegras-to-Montreal wet dreams.

Nick Suzuki and Trevor Zegras had virtually identical 2021-2022 (down to plus-minus) and 2022-2023 seasons, and Cole Caufield's career stats are very close to Zegras', right down to Zegras' -44 and Caufield's -40 in 38 fewer games, despite the fact that Zegras has played all but 5 games this season injured. You would HOWL if someone suggested that Caufield go for a last-quarter first, an A prospect and a B prospect, so why do you think that that's a reasonable exchange for Anaheim?!?!?

Just going to 2nd/3rd/4th that this is nowhere near Z’s ballpark. Think Slaf, Reinbacher, MTL ‘24 1st as the core piece otherwise don’t bother

AZ isnt taking on 2 guys they dont need/want (5m salary too) to get 2x middle picks (when have a million already)

Can't see the Hawks taking on Dvorak for less than a 2nd. If the pick is a 4th, Habs need to add a prospect the Hawks actually want.

I don't think it takes a 1st to dump Dvorak. Likely a 2nd or 3rd+ though. 4th doesn't move the needle.
