If the Rangers can get Sissons and a 3rd for a 1st, Id much rather explore that option than Novak.

I'd trade either, to either team as long as we get a 1st in the process lol

No problem trading Lauzon either. I didn't in this because I thought people wouldn't want him because of his contract lol

We really need a physical, crease clearing Dman. Personally I feel like the Preds are like the perfect puzzle piece to fill all the holes the Rangers have, the problem is the cap.

Nyquist, 1RW
Sissons/Novak, 3C
Trenin, 4th line
Lauzon, 3LD
Sherwood, depth forward

He definitely isn't a 2C. I like him but I highly doubt he can fill that role.

Sissons is never returning a 1st, god help me I’m about to defend Monahan, Monahan is a true second line center, he makes under $2M and is on an expiring deal, Monahan has multiple 60+ seasons Sisson’s has 2 seasons where he scored 30pts. Not knocking the player but he just isn’t worth a first.

I’ll go one further I know he can’t fill that role. Career high 30pts, and he is most definitely not a play driver.

i think colorado owuld be more interested in scissons next year, they've got too many forwards as it is right now so unless it's a clear cut 2C it's just not worth it

I try not to speak in absolutes but it all signs point to him simply being a decent 3rd liner

I'd go further and say a VERY good 3C, more of a JTC swiss army knife guy who can play up the line up if needed, PP if needed, PK's very well and very good at the dot. Always been a big fan of Sissons......but I don't see him as the answer for the Avs here. If the Avs decided to run with Colton as the 2C then as the 3C he'd be a great addition. Agreed that it's unlikely he brings in a first though but it's a maybe on that if other pieces are added.
