Zegras is mittelstadt with a few more Michigan goals. That's not the missing piece.

No. This is quickly becoming worse than the Jenner trades that have no shot.

You know that a proposed package for Trevor Zegras is hopelessly silly when the two main elements are a future first and a guy we would have to go overseas to scout.

What would be more palatable for ANA?

The Buffalo 2024 first and Jack Quinn.

Knowing you, and having a healthy respect for your insight, I think that Komorov is an interesting inclusion in that proposal. Inasmuch as I know that this idea wasn't accidental, is there anything other than the fact that he is a RhD that caused you to mention him? (He isn't the reason why I mentioned going to Europe to scout, by the way.)

As a Sabres fan I vote no except Jiricek except they're going to say no and he's their Power type future player Our hopes have to be in Adam's getting a top 4 right d in trade or Ufa more likely.
I vote Montour,M Roy, DeMelo type and a couple great driving forwards in Ufa or trade

Honestly the only player on the roster that's more untouchable is Fantilli, there's less than a 5% chance he's moved anywhere. If he is, we suddenly have a huge hole at 1RD (he's not playing there now, but he's the only legitimate shot at 1RD we have in the organization, and should reach that within a few years), so we'd need a Jiricek replacement coming back. The only things that make sense are 1) if Jiricek is part of a Power deal, or 2) Buffalo wins one of the lotteries this year and you're sending us a top-2 pick.

Just thought a good RHD prospect is always a sweet add to an already heavy package for a player just to push it over the edge. I feel Buffalo aren’t moving Quinn or their likely top 6 pick for Zegras but we’ll see what happens for sure

They need to reach cap floor and for only 3 years I think they could add a player like Skinner. Definitely would make them better.

where do you get they need to cap floor? not saying he isnt solid but why would AZ rebuilding need him more than BUFF rebuilding?

Correct. 6th overall + would be the cost for Z. Probably a bit much to be 6th + Ostlund, but 6th and a good prospect

I think they are trying to come out of their rebuild considering their recent moves with Dumba, Durzi, Zucker, etc.

I wouldn’t trade Quinn for Zegras straight up.

agree - dumba, zucker are 1 year deals, durzi is 25 RFA, durzi is in the long term plans the other are not. again im not saying skinner isnt good player Im saying AZ taking on 9m 35yo (when expires) is not a guy you rebuild or coming out of a rebuild add to team. where does skinner fit - at W will be keller, schmaltz, crouse, maccelli, guenther, soon doan and but. that 9m can get younger UFAs or trades plus there is going to be ELC coming up soon. and why is BUFF getting rid of him they are in about same rebuild phase as AZ.
