Because the Hawks aren't retaining almost $30m on Jones for the next 6 years, and that offer isn't close, that's why not.

Jones is the worst contract in the league. Couturier has zero legs anymore and 7 more seasons at his cap is horrible. People on here only play video games

Coots won't waive for Toronto. Guy loves Philly and has no connection to the Toronto area. Flyers don't need a goalie either. Ersson is doing fine and if we need a backup we can just roll with Petersen and Sandstrom, even though they aren't that spiffy.
