Interesting that you have Malkin getting more in a trade than Sid. No way Malkin gets anywhere near that value.

The return for Crosby should be much more than the one for Malkin in my opinion.

Three late firsts for all your best players would not kickstart the rebuild all too well

Oilers would rather ceci over karlsson because they already have pp quarterback in Bouchard. If oilers move ceci it’s to upgrade defensive side of the game which is easier said than done considering his modest cap hit vs tough minutes he gets.

That Karlsson trade is pretty awful for Pittsburgh.

No team is trading a player in the PAP, let alone that you want Laine for that garbage. JD blocks Dubas's number immediately for this tomfoolery--he's got enough to worry about right now.

Colorado probably needs Pittsburgh to retain some of Crosby’s salary. It is only for one more year too. Also would get them another piece in the return.

Bud, I get sometimes we value our own players more cause they hold a soft spot for us, but ffs this would get us EK65 at 5M...
Oilers jump on that the moment we get the call.

Why? Oilers need to strengthen defensive game 5 on 5. How does karlsson improve that over ceci who’s been a plus player for several years now? It’s even extremely unlikely they bump Bouchard off that top pp unit so what is the use of adding karlsson even at 5 million cut that in half again wouldn’t change the fact he’s just not what the oilers need.

EK would be a massive improvement at 5 on 5 over Ceci. I like Ceci and respect the weight he carries for us at times but this is a no brainer...
We get a great puck moving defensemen who is fine in his own defensive zone, he produces well at 5 on 5 too and doesn't need PP time to get points (which I think your sort of type casting him as a PP QB only rather than the great all around player he is).
