Brindamour famously said you can't win with guys like Skinner. Can't imagine he's softened on that idea. Actually these trades are all awful for buffalo. Even when the value favors buffalo, it adds nothing that we need. Except maybe saros, I do like saros.

Im confused in how the doesn't add what we need... We need RHD, a goalie, and a defensive forward (Fast) lmao. Tomasino is from Mississauga so would likely want to be a Buffalo Sabre

I don’t see the Canes spending assets on Skinner when he was sold for pennies on the dollar for a reason. Considering how overloaded the Canes wings already are, the 1st is going the wrong way there.

I appreciate some out of the box thinking here, but it’s not realistic or all that beneficial to Buffalo to do much of this. Paying for someone to take Skinner at this point is a net negative. Throwing away Levi and getting nothing of actual benefit in return is ludicrous. That said, I like Luke Tuch and you can get him for a lot less than all of that. Fast is a nice player, but he’s a temporary fix to a long term issue, and Carolina probably wants nothing to do with that trade anyway.

A 3rd pair RD who is more of an offensive guy than a shut down type- he’s basically another version of Jokiharju, which we already have

A goalie who’s : getting old, declining this season, still gonna want a big contract after next year

A defensive WINGER- we need a guy that can win faceoffs though. And just bc he’s from the area doesn’t mean he’d wanna play here- that’s purely a guess on your part & we have no way of knowing
