I do not think that the Wild will or should sell Joel Eriksson Ek, but if they do, he would be THE piece of the deadline and they could get an incredible return for him. Here's what I think that could look like and some potential deals:

There are 2 recent comparisons for an Eriksson Ek trade, and I believe his value would fall somewhere in the middle, maybe on the higher end. The first is Jack Eichel, who is a better player, but had injury concerns and a much bigger cap hit. He fetched a first, second, roster player with upside (Alex Tuch), and first-round value prospect (Peyton Krebbs). The other is Pierre-Luc Dubois, who is a worse player and demanded a higher salary. He returned a veteran roster player (Iafallo), a roster player with upside (Vilardi), a decent prospect (Kupari), and a second round pick.
