Doubt Colorado is interested in Allen unless there’s 50% retention. Even then I think they’d rather a cheaper backup option for next year

You could probably get more for taking on Campbell/sending Evans

Doubt NJ moves Meier, even with his contract looking rough right now

Howard and a 1st for Armia and Savard is a wild ask

Montreal only has 1 retention slot, and I believe that only becomes available after the draft. So I don't think this is even possible.

The NYR one is probably the most fair one lmao, if I was Montreal's GM I wouldn't do it, cause Goodrow is a cap dump and NY gets the equivalent of 3 first round picks (including MTL's) and a young defencemen. So if this was an offseason move before the draft, NYR gets the better deal.

There’s no way that Colorado takes on Allen at 3,850,000 with one more year of term. No way.

Big Question does Hughes hear Brisebois laughing at him hysterically or not before getting hung up on . TB has less than zero interest in Savard . A he skates like an oak tree.
His cap hit next year is untenable, and he'd do nothing more than hinder guys in the systems development.

Devils won’t bail on Timo so early. He has been notoriously a streaky player and has had a number of nagging injuries since he arrived. There have been some games where he has looked lost, others where he has appeared to be the guy we expected and hoped for. Also, the whole team is underperforming.

That said, if Josh Anderson were on a better contract, and came as reasonable price, he would have appeal to use as kind of Miles Wood replacement. We don’t have a lot of heavy forechecking options in our bottom six right now.

Yea we’d totally sell arguably our second best forward this season for a bunch of futures with the main piece being protected!!!

The desperate continuous hope to send Anderson to NJD is so funny.

You could easily use those assets in the offseason to get a player better then Lafreniere, also I don't believe you are being reasonable if you genuinely believe he is close to 2nd best forward, it's not arguable at all, Panarin, Kreider, Trocheck and Zibanejad have all been head and shoulders above, both offensively and defensively (except Trocheck on defence, his xGA is abysmal, and yet he still has better overall defence stats slightly), advanced stats and the eye test agree, hell even Chytil has better average underlying numbers then Lafreniere (obviously small sample size but it shows my point). He is doing much better for sure, but it still isn't exceptional.

Also of course it is protected, 2025 is an insanely top heavy draft, all of those top 5 players alone hold more value then Lafrienere.

Edit: Coming back to this later, this is insanely lopsided for the Rangers, this package is sizably bigger then the package for Debrincat (the first time), who was coming off a 40 goal season and nearly ppg, but instead it is for a cap dump and 50 point pace player.

Avs decline. They likely decline even with 50% retention on Allen.

Mika and kreider have been abysmal at 5v5.. 90% of laf’s points are 5v5. Mika looks like he’s lost a step and kreider is still solid when it comes to tip ins
