Sure. CHI will consider taking on a contract with one of the stipulations being that it is short term, but that doesn't mean VAN doesn't have to pay for their cap relief.

The Beauvillier trade we needed a body due to injuries and he is a pending UFA, with Hall it was a very specific move to bring in a veteran presence and former 1st overall pick to play with Bedard and help get us to the cap floor. What is Mikhayev? Just another body that we don't need for any reason... So, no, more like Dickinson, which you should be pretty familiar with, or Bailey or Mrazek.
