Allen wont ever give us a second round pick.

And I dont see why Mtl would want clifton but only for mittelstad we would still need to add a lot.

If you're asking Buffalo about Mitts, they're probably in return asking about Slafkovsky, Hutson, Struble....... They'll ask for enough back to not make it worth Montreal's while

Probably starts with a 1st because I wouldn't trade Mitts for Barron

Tampa Bay isn't spending a 1st for Savard. They might give up that 4th for Harris though.

Question:
Who is the only TDL trade JBB didn't get at least multiple seasons out of and didn't attempt to resign? As TB GM.
Answer:
David Savard
That should tell you what his real thinking is of Savard.
Actions speak wayyyy louder than words.
If Julien Brisebois really wants someone he figures it out.

I think Sabres fans gave you enough reasons why they wouldn't do it, so I will just answer the Habs side of this. Barron is in Laval to allow management to showcase some other D men, if some of them (more precisely Savard and/or Kovacevic) get moved then he will be recalled and play top 4 again. There is an off chance that he will be moved but not for something as far reaching as this, more like for a Kailyev or Kakko type of return

Is the Habs plan really to ship out every veteran dman and run with a bunch of early 20 year olds?
