Trading Holtz for a package of mid pieces doesn’t really help them

I don’t think Nashville would accept that trade. I think the Preds want an elite prospect or young player along with the pick and no cap dumps on the return (ideally). For the Holtz to MTL mock trade, I don’t know how to feel about this trade. I think it’s creative, but if Devils are going to shop Holtz, they’ll want to get an elite asset for Holtz, not quantity.

Hes got 1 year left and was bad this year. Getting a 1st for him is a miracle

And Holtz is gonna be a 23 year "Bust" if they continue playing him in the bottom 6, which it looks like they will. Getting 3 depth pieces is best case for them

As intriguing of a gamble Holtz would be, MTL isn't giving up that much for him.

Something scary about 1st rounders picked 7th overall... Is it just me or do they fail to live up to expectations more than other positions in the top 10?

Nashville is pretty firmly in a playoff spot now. Highly doubt they entertain selling Saros anymore

Pick 8 is more cursed IMO

Haven’t watched Holtz play this year. How is he progressing? Still projected as a top 6, or some hints that middle 6 might be in the cards?

Yeah but it helps Montreal so they can convince themselves it’s fair
