Don't want Tanner Pearson, even if Montreal retains 100% of his salary.

Where do you think you are gonna get better quality than the equivalent of 4 1st round picks? No one is giving up 4 1sts worth of value for KJ, sorry but he is not McDavid or MacKinnon

We're kind of expecting to get a top-line quality playmaking winger.

Pearson would be the worst player on the team with the least amount of points scored. Why trade anything for an overpriced forward? The Kings could bring up someone from the AHL and be better.

Why, yes. Yes you do. Sometimes you draft them with 5th overall picks, even.

Hes not gonna be high end playmaker on the Jackets. Players go there to die

It’s two late first, a bottom pair defenseman, and a B+ level prospect. Not 4 firsts

As an LA fan, no his not. When he was younger and before he broke his leg, he was decent. But after he's a shell of his former self.

The only people on LA that has played more than 20 games that Pearson has more points than are Lizotte and Englund. A 4th line Center that's been injured and a 7th defenseman/career AHL guy.

LA wouldn't take Pearson even if he was free on waivers at league minimum. Which he is not!

How did I know someone was gonna say this lmao.

Habs reportedly turned down a former 1st round prospect with top 6 upside for Xhekaj (one 1st)

Mesar a former 1st round pick who's value has increased since being drafted and ranks 21st over all in ppg in the OHL at 1.26 (second 1st)

2024 1st round pick (third 1st)
2025 1st round pick (fourth 1st)

If Kent turned that offer down he should be fired. Wouldn’t believe what he says after saying he got a mid first round offer for Josh Anderson lol. Mesar hasn’t really increased his prospect value at all. He has very limited upside and I struggling after a good start. He should be playing way better than that as a 20 year old in the OHL. He’s not bad but no one would trade a first for him or arber for that matter

Gunetzel just went for a 2nd rounder, a cap dump and 3 3rd line prospects. You think KJ is worth more than Guentzel (even as a rental)

Not really mesar is a former first round pick who hasn’t lived up to his draft spot same with mesar. Arber is a bottom pair enforcer type player. You can swap arber for boqvist who is more valuable

Why are you wasting your time with this conversation? Everyone knows Montreal prospects and NHLers are all untouchable stars, which is why they have the number one pipeline and are about to win the President's trophy. Everyone also knows every single player whose rights are owned by Columbus wants out right this second and the Jackets should be thrilled to accept future considerations in return for them before the team is moved to Utah since there's no fans anyway.
