I would be surprised if Buffalo qualifies Bryson, and I would be more surprised if anyone is willing to trade for him after that. Coleman has rebounded this year, but nearly $5 million is a lot to pay a 3rd liner. He is also in a very nice situation in Calgary and I don’t know why they would give that up if he’s been so effective.

Buffalo has been in a perpetual rebuild for over a decade. Considering he has a no trade clause why would he ever want to come here?

Adams and Coleman’s agent Brian Bartlett have a long standing relationship and he sells him on it.

Anyone who habitually screams “WOOO” into the camera after every win does not have the credibility to wear a letter in the national

Yet somehow he is viewed by teammates as one of the primary team leaders. How dare someone be happy about success

Sure, and that’s great. Doesn’t give the player immunity from being moved. Especially for a career 30 pt fwd making just shy of 5m on a team that’s moving backward

He'll get a letter. But all the players, including Tuch, know it's Dahlin's team lol. Anyone who thinks it isn't has lost the plot.

Huh? Were talking about Alex Tuch's potential captaincy, not Coleman

Threw up in my mouth a bit seeing Girgensons resigned. Time to flip the page on him, brought nothing but losing.

Canes reject easily. Like Clifton and his gritty play at a smaller size, but that contract is rough.

Hawks decline. If Adam's is dumb enough to extend Bryson, no one else is bailing him out.

A guy who leads by example has every reason to be wearing the C, and when he’s going right, there’s no one who exemplifies being a Buffalo Sabre more than a guy who grew up wanting nothing more than to be a Buffalo Sabre. Dahlin probably grew up wishing he could be a Redwing because of Nicklas Lidstrom. I won’t be that upset if Dahlin is given the C over Tuch, but it won’t make any sense if it’s anybody else.

Being a childhood Sabres fan doesn’t constitute giving someone a C. It’s Dahlin’s team. The whole room knows it.

The common perception is that it’s Dahlin’s team, probably because he’s now the teams highest paid player. But unless you’re in that room, you don’t really know. I’ll bet neither Tuch or Dahlin even care which one of them gets the C. But it should definitely be one of those two.
