Why lol? Hronek makes perfect sense, and they get rid of Samuelsson. Not to mention the Canucks paid a first and a second for him last season, and he's having a much much better year.

Canucks pass imho, Samuelsson has had a bad year and to start of an 8 year deal I'm not sure I'd be comfortable taking him back. The high first is nice but doesn't help the team win now rather keep Hronek

Obviously no.

Not trading a lottery pick and more for a guy who needs a new contract immediately

He of course did not sign an 8 year deal. Looking up there are 6 years left.

Buffalo is not trading a top 10 pick and more for a defensemen that is unsigned after trading for byram

Byram doesn't play on the Right Side, Dahlin needs a solid D-partner that plays on the right side, look what a Hronek did for Quinn Hughes.

Dahlin doesn't need anything, but he himself plays on the right side.

Not giving up 3 valuable assets for the right to pay hronek 8 million a year when we've paid dahlin and power and just traded for byram

Even if Buffalo met your terms how could they afford to pay Hronek and Byram on top of Dahlin and Power? It'd be impossible unfortunately
Although not ideal Dahlin and Byram can play right side btw

Way too much for a player having a career year in a contract year, when the Sabres already have a top 4 in place

Samuelsson was playing hurt. The Sabres have no reason to give up on him

If BUF wants Hronek the return better be Byram or Power

Good, he's been a Top 20 dman this season and makes Hughes and this team so much better, he's not going anywhere.

He's got a pretty big QO, I wouldn't give you this years 1st with the 2nd and Samuelsson. Though I might do 2025 1st

1- we aren’t trying to get rid of Samuelsson
2- we need a “shut down” type RD, & that’s not Hronek

Value aside its amazing how many people don't know that Dahlin is a RD. Like everyone knows Weegar is but nobody knows this lmao.
