Is this even do-able outside of a handshake agreement? I'm not sure you can force a choice of which pick Detroit gives in a trade for a player. I'm also 100% sure that the choice of which pick they give needs to made before draft day not to mention the pick itself is made.

Anaheim will be in the top 5, no way they take him. I'm eyeing Levshunov or Parehka for them and think either would be a great addition

Even if they move Zegras I think they'd be fine taking one of the top D depending on who can be top pairing RHD. Mac T, Carlson, Terry and Cutter are your studs up front. Drysdales replacement needs to come and this draft would be the place to do it

Chychrun isn’t the right fit for Detroit. Walman and Edvinsson will lock down that top 4 LD for the foreseeable future. We really need a rugged defensive first RHD/RD and Chychrun isn’t that.

Parekh isn’t a Verbeek type player. If it’s not Lev he’s going forward. I could even see him going for Dickinson or Silayev

I agree I don't think Levshunov gets past Anaheim. Would be a great pick for them.

Personally, I love Yakemchuk to the Sens in their spot. Sorry scick lol! but I love Yakemchuk's floor more than Parekh with just as much offense. Parekh has that Makar/Karlsson in him, but Yak's slightly lower offense is made up for by his hockey IQ, but then add the size with his skating and projectable every situation minute man and it's kind of a perfect fit for ottawa. That's tough to pass on imo. I get the Parekh love though

The Chychrun boat has sailed for Detroit in my opinion.

    Edvinsson will improve LD.

Yzerman will target Michigan boy RD Matt Roy in UFA.

    Mock

    1- Chicago —> Celebrini ( Consensus )
    2. San Jose —> Lindstrom ( Could risk it with Demidov )
    3. Anaheim —> Levshunov ( Verbeek Type and Drysdale )
    4. Columbus —> Silayev
    5. Arizona —> Dickinson ( Going to Prioritise D )
    6. Ottawa —> Parekh ( Stud D )
    7. Montreal —> Demidov or Eiserman Or Nygard Reach.
    8. Buffalo —> Yakemchuk or Trade
    9. Minnesota —> Eiserman
    10. Pittsburgh —> Catton

    Watch out on Connelly.

He’s not, he’s physical, right shot, and potential top 6.

Just like DeBrincat pulls at minimum two 1sts? Or how Tarasenko pulls, at minimum, a 1st?

He’s going to turn 19 three months after the draft. While players like Celebrini and Helenius are 17

If Detroit trades that first I seriously doubt it'll be for another left-handed D-man. And yes, I'm aware Chych plays both sides.

If there's specific circumstances like the player only wants to play for one team, yeah of course. Chychrun has a 10 team no trade list but still could trade him to 21 other teams

Just one year ago, Chychrun was worth more than a 15th OA pick.

Oct 2005 to June 2006 is 8 months & the draft cutoff is September 15 so again the answer is no.

    Walman - Seider
    Edvinsson - X

Honestly sounds more appealing. Would rather try and take a stab at Rasmus Anderson.

and despite performing worse and losing a year on his contract, he's worth the same?
