Little too much term on monahan, might take a little more to dump Schmidt, kind of interesting point where they could in fact sell perfetti, dump Schmidt, possibly keep iafallo and maybe miller til they can buy at deadline. Couple moose to replace Appleton/barron a year later. Probably need an extension on ehlers and a plan on Connor, I like the idea of keeping Toffoli, finally a guy to replace laine.

Calgary is looking to get younger not older. They won't be wasting picks on trades for players like Iafallo who will be UFA after next season anyhow.

Gonna be interesting to see how Perfetti does over the next few years, Schneider was taken 9 spots after Perfetti. Was looking at the 2020 draft and its looking like a bad one for the Jets. The Jets 2nd rounder in that draft is doing nothing in his 2nd AHL season, he was picked ahead of Evangelista and Faber.. 🙄

I don't see this interesting the Rangers, yes Schneider is a bit stuck behind Fox and Trouba but Trouba only has a few years left and is pushing 30 plus injuries happen and quality depth is needed to be a true contender, doubt he's going anywhere.

Nothing wrong with the offer. He won’t be buried for much longer. He will sign a bridge deal and then they will swap him and Trouba. Then their next contracts will essentially swap cap hits.

Not enough to dump Schmidt. And Flyers is most likely wrong destination, Sharks or Blackhawks maybe could use a veteran D for a year instead.

So what? Good teams have good depth and right now Schneider is proving his value with Trouba out

Perhaps, the team he goes to is somewhat irrelvent. Schmiddy is a serviceable player. I would consider retaining if necessary.

It’s hard to part with Schneider because he’s probably everything you could want for a defenseman. Young, physical, cheap, skates well, offensive upside and only gonna get better defensively

It just doesn’t make sense to trade him since he’ll replace Trouba in 2 years, even though he should be now
